NH Broadband is Growing!
We just announced that we are constructing fiber optic networks in Sandwich and Acworth, which will provide service to over 1,500 homes and businesses. Learn more about these projects here.
Meet NH Broadband
New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) is committed to ensuring that all Co-op members have access to broadband internet, regardless of where they live. We are working hard to expand high speed internet service to meet the needs of our members throughout New Hampshire.
To further our efforts, NHEC has created a new subsidiary - NH Broadband - and last year we constructed fiber optic networks to provide high speed internet access to nearly 1,000 members in Colebrook, Stewartstown, Clarksville and Lempster.
We are also hard at work constructing our next two networks in Sandwich and Acworth, which will provide service to another 1,500 homes and businesses.
These networks are just the first steps towards our larger goal. We are currently developing plans to build fiber optic networks to provide NHEC’s members with the critical internet services they need. We are working with industry partners and exploring funding opportunities that will enable us to provide high speed internet service as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
A key factor in our plans is member interest. If you would like to receive internet service, with upload and download speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second, use the address search above and let us know. If you live in the parts of Colebrook, Stewartstown, Clarksville or Lempster where we currently offer service, you can sign up online today.
We will post updates on our efforts and let you know when we are providing internet service to new areas of New Hampshire. Within the next several years we hope to make broadband internet service available to all our unserved and underserved members. We’re looking forward to bringing this essential service to our members as quickly as possible.
