New Hampshire Electric Co-op today announced a major milestone in its effort to deliver affordable, high-speed internet to rural New Hampshire: NH Broadband’s state-of-the-art fiber internet service is now available to well over 1,000 residents and businesses in Claremont, Cornish, Newport and Plainfield. 

The Co-op is in its fourth and final phase of construction funded by the 2022 Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) grant. This achievement marks a significant step forward in the Co-op’s ongoing expansion of broadband and reflects the Co-op’s commitment to fostering economic development, remote work, online education and access to essential digital services.
